We All Need To Have A Story

Getting Started In Your Family History Genealogy Research

How do we get started in Family History Genealogy Research?  Often it is triggered by a birth or a death. A death can make you curious – but by then it’s too late to ask the deceased person.  Suddenly they can appear to have become mysterious to you, your grandfather, grandmother, or parents.  Where did they come from, why did s/he leave there home?

Or you may have celebrated the birth of a child which prompts you to question what you are passing onto them, your daughter or your son. This curiosity may also be prompted by a discussion at a family gathering. “If you dig hard enough there are at least three great stories in any family” (The film – Perfect Strangers).  Which tells the story of a family reunion, which brings together perfect strangers who had only one thing in common, blood.  They all descended from the same ancestors.

Don’t think that you just have to write a story either.  Here is the best story I’ve ever not written…tell me what you think about it.  I look forward to hearing from you..
